Annie Ward graduated from Weber State University in 2011. She received her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education to include grades K-8. She has since taught 3rd grade and 5th grade. She also worked as a reading coach for Davis School District. During the summer, she has worked as an independent reading tutor in her community. She feels very lucky to have found the Davinci Distance program! She loves working with the distance education kids and their wonderful parents. Annie is happily married and is the mother of two great kids. She and her family enjoy most outdoor activities especially running, rock climbing, hiking and camping.
Megan Wetendorf has taught for 8 consecutive years in the elementary arena both in public and private schools. She graduated with her bachelors in Elementary education with a minor in teaching ESL students. She then continued on to get a Level 1 Reading Endorsement and an Elementary Mathematics Endorsement. Megan and her husband, John, have a 1 year old son named Reece and hope to be able to adopt more children in the future. They enjoy hiking, biking, being mommy and daddy to Reece, and playing games with friends and family.
Tierra Williams is going on her 2nd year with Davinci Academy Distance Program. When she's not working at Davinci she's working at New Image Day Spa as a Master Esthetician. She loves summer, being outdoors, traveling, going to the gym, watching movies, anything art, listing to music, spending time with her family, and dating.
Melissa Howell has been teaching for 25 years. First as a private piano and voice teacher, then as a homeschool Mom to her 4 children. That changed her life! She went on to teach in Homeschooling co-ops where she received training through workshops and taking classes wherever she could. She served as chairman of her teen's homeschool co-op and taught history and drama classes. She helped start a homeschooling support group in Davis County and taught and helped train other Moms at homeschool workshops and meetings. Melissa eventually began writing curriculum for and teaching for Harmony Education. She then came to Davinci Academy to teach and has loved every minute! She especially loves instilling a love for drama and music in her students. She is a huge history buff and loves teaching that subject on Epic day. Melissa started her education as a Theater major at SUU where she performed at the Utah Shakespearean Festival and then went on to receive her Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of Utah. Some of the things she enjoys doing is spending time with her family, going to the mountains, reading, watching movies, going to concerts and plays, baking, walking/hiking (when the weather is fine) and playing piano and singing. She is currently singing Soprano with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir where she performs regularly and goes on tour. Within a 4 year period, she has sung in the cities of Chicago, Minneapolis, Washington D.C., New York, Boston, Amsterdam, Munich, Frankfurt, Zurich, Vienna and Paris. So now she likes to Travel as well! She and her husband, Bryan are now starting a new adventure: They just became grandparents in 2016!
Tiffiny has been teaching at DaVinci since 2014, where she loves working with the wonderful staff and the amazing families that are involved with the distance program. She enjoys sharing her love of science, reading, animals, and nature with the students.
Tiffiny and her husband have four children, two boys and two girls. They live on the east bench in Ogden where they enjoy quick access to hiking and biking trails. Tiffiny loves spending time with her family, camping, backpacking, snow skiing, and rock climbing.
Myrica has been teaching with the Davinci Distance program since it started in 2012. She has homeschooled her own five children, and now has her youngest two children, a 2nd grader and 6th grader in the program with Davinci. She attended Southern Utah University and received her bachelors degree in Sociology and Psychology. She also attended BYU and worked on some upper graduate studies in Archeology for a year. She was a full time counselor at a youth facility for 3 years in Provo, UT, and then moved with her husband to Colorado. After 9 years there, they moved their family to Utah, and have been happily settled in Layton surrounded by great friends and family. She loves long walks, hiking, going to the gym, watching her children's sporting events and traveling. With 4 sons and one daughter, there is always something to do!
